Sourdough at Home: The Art and Science of Artisan Bread

The Sourdough at Home class is designed for both new and experienced home bakers looking to learn the art and science of sourdough in their home kitchen, around their schedules.

We'll spend a full day in the bakery learning about baking artisanal bread as we mix a batch of sourdough, and demo the entire process. Our course includes:

+ Hands-on practice with naturally-fermented bread

+ A mini-cooking class with recipe ideas for your day-old bread

+ Sourdough starter culture for you to take home, and two loaves of bread dough in proofing baskets ready to bake in your home oven

+ Morning coffee and pastries, and lunch

This class is for students ages 16+

This style of bread is best baked at home in an enclosed cast iron combo cooker. We recommend you pick one up before class so you’re ready to bake the loaves from class.
