The Position: Full-Time (or Part-Time) Production Baker

Rebel Bread looking for a full-time baker (and food enthusiast) to join our team! We’re looking for someone with baking or kitchen experience. Someone who wants to create amazing food that creates amazing experiences for others. Someone who has unwavering customer-centric mindset.

What do they do?

In short: everything. The next time you hear “That’s not my job” at the bakery, it would be the first. Here at Rebel Bread we all pitch in where needed anytime we’re needed without hesitation. Most of your time will be spent assisting in bakery production for our wholesale accounts, meaning you’ll be mixing dough, shaping brioche, folding sourdough, and you’ll work a lot with the Denver Danish - our flagship pastry. You may also be asked to help working front of house retail transactions, making coffee drinks, cooking staff meal, etc. Please ask if you have any questions or concerns on other possible job duties that may be asked of you.

Preferred Shifts: Sunday - Thursday // 7am - 3pm (with a few 4am - 12pm days)

Starting pay: $15/hr

Who would make a great baker?

Experienced professionals - We are looking for people who know “hospitality” in all forms and while that doesn’t mean you have to have worked in a professional kitchen before, candidates with commercial kitchen and baking experience are strongly preferred. Home baking experience is excellent, too - most of us started as home bakers - but you should expect that the pace and workflow will be different in our production kitchen.

Entrepreneurial - We half joke that we’re a tech start up disguised as a bakery, because we value the mindset and drive of a start up mentality. We want people who take ownership, take initiative and are excited to take on responsibility.

Passionate - You can’t help but love good food and drink, and probably enjoy baking at home.
